I am Liz Fussell, a seasoned nonprofit executive with over 25 years of experience leading transformational change in disability services, inclusive workforce programs, and organizational strategy. 

My passion lies in developing strong, sustainable leadership by empowering the critical relationship between executive directors and their boards. Through my consulting and mentorship practice, I help nonprofit leaders and boards move beyond crisis management into strategic alignment. 

I focus on cultivating a shared vision, trust-based collaboration, and the leadership capacity needed for long-term impact. 

What sets me apart is my integrated approach: I don’t just coach executives or advise boards; I help them grow together. My work focuses on strengthening executive-board partnerships, developing high-impact leadership teams, and embedding inclusive, mission-driven strategy across organizations. 

As a former nonprofit CEO and founder of the nationally recognized FUTURE Program at the University of Tennessee, I have secured and managed multi-million-dollar grants, supported national initiatives at VCU, and advised organizations through complex transitions and turnarounds. 

With a deep commitment to equity, clarity, and courageous leadership, I partner with mission-driven organizations to build trust, elevate performance, and lead with purpose, from the boardroom to the front lines.
